out! For more
A new year begins, albeit with some changes ...
Inflation, unemployment and the rate hikes are on the rise, and this is a problem facing all sectors including students.
addition to this we started the classes and because of the low budget earmarked by the national government to the University and approved last year the authorities of the UNLP, we begin to see problems in time bands.
In this situation, which prevents many able to attend because they are not guaranteed the 3 time bands that were committed facu authorities, we must organize to get more theoretical, but practices committees, and to defend our right to continue education.
Because the slogan in this time of crisis in which more and more difficult to further study, should be ¡¡¡¡" is not anyone out "!!!!
We have presented in the Academic Council, where we have 4 student representatives, a note about the problem of time bands and where we agreed to implement courses in three shifts, morning afternoon and night.
We have to prepare the bodies of delegates from the center, and continue the fight for further study, for more dining and night shift, for the ticket university, and the opening of the student hostel, among other things, requiring the government Nationally, over the education budget, not that continues to benefit those who have more ...
This fight we won by all!
Finally we ask them to come to the center (first floor) or send email if you know of any scheduling problem with a particular subject.
Greetings and good start !!!!!!
Below the text of the paper presented by our academic advisors asking for more hours to study.
La Plata, March 16, 2009.
Mr. Secretary Academic
the FaHCE,
Prof. Luis Adriani.
We are writing to you to express our concern over the lack of time bands in many of the subjects of our faculty, whose inscriptions were made recently.
We have repeatedly made claims such as we believe that all materials must be three time bands for practical classes and at least two to dictate theorists (especially in the departments that offer promotion systems without final exam). So we raised in the Academic Council of the Faculty, which, at the election of Dean in 2007, adopted a program that includes this point.
Currently, this situation is highly aggravated by the growing economic crisis that hit deep to the Argentine people stems from the politics of the Kirchner. Thousands of students are forced to work to support their studies, and others to abandon, at least partially. It is the responsibility of the Faculty offer schedules that enable all students, in these conditions, to register.
particularly urgent request to be implemented in time bands:
· Language English I, III and IV: no practical after 16hs. so many students could not attend one of the core subjects of his career. Preferably there should be a practical lesson in the Gaza 18hs.
· Translation Science and Technology I and II, Legal Translation I: the three subjects studied by all students of a translator in English, have no late hours, so that every student who works in the morning can not pursue the matter, postponed by one year in his career.
° CS. 4th year Education:
Philosophy of Education have a practical one, 18 to 20 hours. You need at least one in the morning. Educational Administration
has practical one 10 to 12 hours. You need at least one more time later.
· History and Politics of Education: this material is enrolled in all faculties of our institution and even from other academic units. It has no practical in the morning. There is a chance to promote it without a final exam but only gives a theoretical framework for all registrants. You need the unfolding of it.
.
bands can be implemented in: Argentina
· History I: there is only a theoretical schedule. So everyone can take, we need a band more.
• Introduction to History: the theorists of this material is taught in two time bands. However, the times offered for the same not cover the range of later (one is issued from 8 to 12 hours. and another 12 to 16 hours.). Given that students who work in morning schedules can take part would have to see the possibility of running the second time into the evening (16 to 20 hours.).
· Interpretation in English: to be an obligatory course in two hours theoretical-practical, both in contrasting bands (14 to 16hs. And 10 to 12am.). This causes any student working (business hours) can not pursue the matter, since one of the schedules will inevitably overlap
The above are just some of the scheduling problems that students have to study and follow "race." They are the most urgent and which we hope will be resolved at the beginning of the school year. Otherwise, many we, in the difficult situation we are facing, leave without making materials, what we know in many cases leads to eventually retire.
Waiting for a prompt and favorable reply, greets atte.
Student Senate Academic Advisors.
